Dharma Drum Sangha University offers comprehensive facilities, including bright and spacious classrooms, peaceful and stately Buddha halls, and a modern digitalized Buddhist library, to provide monastic students with rich resources and an optimal learning environment. The University is located in Jinshan Township’s DDM World Center for Buddhist Education on the fringes of the Datun Mountain Range, overlooking the ocean. Situated in a peaceful and natural environment, with lovely scenery and culture, it’s truly a cradle to nurture prominent Buddhist masters.
The campus features a distinctive blend of traditional and modern architecture, which includes student dormitories, the stateof-
the-art Buddhist Library and Information Center which houses an extensive collection of books and periodicals, the DDM Chan
Hall, web community, digitized Chinese Tripitaka (CBETA), and an International Conference Hall. These facilities combine to make Dharma Drum Sangha University a full-fledged and modernized educational institution.
The University is affiliated with the Chung-Hwa Institute of Buddhist Studies, DDM’s monastic community, Dharma Drum
Buddhist College, Dharma Drum University, and various DDM’s Chan practice, cultural and educational organizations, creating ample opportunities for students to participate in international academic conferences and exchange activities held by DDM.
The quiet, secluded campus is set amidst mountains and rolling hills, and traversed by two gurgling brooks. Rural, but not isolated, and in close proximity to the sea, the campus offers scenic views that will please the eyes and soothe the heart.
The construction and facilities of the University reflect a futuristic outlook, meticulously designed to meet the requirement of a world Buddhist center. The campus features a majestic Grand Buddha Hall, large, contemporary meditation and lecture halls, as well as classrooms of various sizes and an activity center, providing the monastic students with a diversified environment for practice and study.
